What is EPR and why do I need it?
EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) is the legal obligation for companies to manage the packaging they place on the market. In Romania, Law 249/2015 requires reporting and payment of contributions to transfer responsibility organizations (OTR) such as GreenPoint or Eco-Rom.
How does Blade XR help me save on EPR taxes?
The system automatically identifies reusable packaging (pallets, crates) and exempts them from taxes. It also correctly separates Household vs. Commercial streams and automatically deducts packaging from returns/credit notes.
Which OTR organizations are supported?
Blade XR generates reports in standard CSV/Excel format compatible with all OTRs in Romania: GreenPoint, Eco-Rom Ambalaje, Green Ambalaje, Environ, and others.
How long does EPR module implementation take?
If you're already using Blade XR, activating the EPR module takes 1-2 weeks to configure packaging data in the catalog. For new implementations, the EPR module is included in the standard 4-12 week timeline.

Does the system support other waste types (WEEE, batteries)?
Currently, the module focuses on packaging according to Law 249/2015. Support for WEEE and batteries is planned for future versions.

The EPR module is integrated into the Blade XR platform and uses data from other modules (PIM, invoicing, production). It's not available as a standalone product, but you can implement only the modules you need.
